The Live Safe blog is designed to be a shared experience, a place to collaborate ideas and participate. In this blog, we site many different organizations who offer an authority in life and fire safety. Our team does not claim to be experts, nor are we experienced “bloggers” or journalists. We are simply social entrepreneurs – providing a vehicle to which to share information for the greater good. Like most start-up organizations, we are a small but passionate team comprised of representation from various community sectors by individuals of diverse backgrounds and professional skills. The model for this blog is truly unique from the industry standard. Live Safe has a core group of people who helped create “our story”, but the majority of the content, images, videos for viewing are provided by expert contributors. Our purpose is to find interesting articles, facts and people to connect their stories and voices – direct from various sources. The Live Safe Foundation expresses a deep appreciation for the efforts by our founding advisors, friends, partners and contributors to the birth of this blog.

The words and guidance from the great leadership expert, John C. Maxwell resonates in our minds. In his book, Talent is Never Enough, he talks about how teamwork multiplies your talent. He uses the story of the Academy Award-winning movie Rocky, when boxer Rocky Balboa describes his relationship with his girlfriend, Adrian: “I’ve got gaps. She’s got gaps. But together we’ve got no gaps.” What a fantastic description of teamwork! At Live Safe, we have gaps, but we are inspired to partner with others who have strengths in different areas helping to put our mission into action!
Board of Directors
Through the strong support of our founding Board members, their wisdom and guidance; the information shared and the future programming for LiveSafe will be continually enhanced to be not only relevant, but also highly valued in the communities in which we live.
We are continually recruiting to fill our various Board of Director positions and asking for outside involvement on an ongoing basis as we cannot accomplish our vision without the support of others (like you). As of 2009, Live Safe’s Board of Trustees consists of some clearly defined positions, each with specific title descriptions. While not all positions have been filled, the positions are as follows:

The members of the Board of Trustees of Live Safe are responsible for determining and approving the strategies and goals of Live Safe. Each member helps the collective board make sound group judgements, provide continuity of thinking and facilitate bringing together a broad base of knowledge and experience to further the mission, goals and growth of the organization.
